💼 About This Role

You'll join the IT Network Engineering team at SpaceX, building tools to support a large and growing network infrastructure for rocket and spacecraft design, manufacturing, and launch. Your core impact will be automating switch configurations, backups, software updates, monitoring, and alerting to scale operations. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on mission-critical systems in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Build network automation tools for switch configurations and config backups
• Create Python scripts to automate manual network processes
• Measure and improve uptime and performance of the corporate network
• Collaborate with network engineers to create highly operable infrastructure

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related with 5+ years of network automation experience
• Experience with Linux operating system
• Automation skills in Python, Go, shell, bash or other languages

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with networking protocols: TCP/IPv4/IPv6, gaming, voice, video, broadcast, streaming
• Experience with Git or Subversion version control
• Experience with Puppet, Ansible, or other automation frameworks
