💼 About This Role

You'll gain hands-on experience in emergency medicine alongside credentialed veterinary technicians at VEG. You'll engage in patient triage, diagnostics, and inpatient care while exploring if ER work is your future. This externship offers real-time mentoring and immersion in a fast-paced ER environment.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Learn from top emergency veterinary professionals.
• Pair with a credentialed veterinary technician for real-time mentoring.
• Shadow and assist with triage, outpatient visits, diagnostics, anesthesia, and inpatient care.
• Practice skills required by your school's proficiency checklist.

📋 Requirements

• Enrolled in an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology or nursing program.
• Enrolled in a course requiring externship hours or skills.
• Current rabies vaccination or titer required.
• Ability to lift up to 25 kg on own and support up to 40 kg with assistance.
