💼 About This Role

You'll lead research and engineering efforts to build state-of-the-art conversational AI models for Decagon's enterprise support platform. You'll own multi-quarter initiatives from idea to production, pushing the agent's reliability, capability, and efficiency. This role offers the chance to impact millions of customer interactions at scale.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead research to improve instruction following and retrieval in production
• Build and iterate on end-to-end model pipelines for quality and efficiency
• Partner with platform engineers to integrate new models into systems
• Break down ambiguous research ideas into clear milestones and roadmaps

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering or research
• Prior experience post-training LLMs in production environments
• Fluency in Python and modern ML tooling (training, evaluation, data pipelines)
