You'll architect and design infrastructure projects to make Verkada's platform reliable and cost-efficient while scaling to millions of connected devices. You'll lead cross-team efforts, mentor engineers, and establish engineering best practices. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge problems like a service mesh or cost-efficient video ingestion.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead critical efforts in scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
• Influence platform features and direction with your ideas.
• Provide technical support for engineers on the team.
• Align with product and org objectives, coordinate cross-functionally.

📋 Requirements

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or similar field.
• Experience with Python and/or Go.
• Experience with one of the major cloud platforms (preferably AWS).
• Strong written and verbal communications.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with Terraform.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience with a service mesh such as Istio.
