💼 About This Role

You'll design, code, and test the core of our PostgreSQL-based database, focusing on scalability, reliability, and performance. You'll play a core role in developing new database capabilities including analytics, clustering, and distributed operations. This remote-first role offers the chance to shape the future of data infrastructure.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Develop new database capabilities like analytics and distributed operations
• Develop, test, and release features from the technical roadmap
• Optimize and test existing TimescaleDB functionality
• Improve infrastructure for database correctness and performance

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years of engineering experience
• Expertise in C/C++ for large code bases
• Solid knowledge of SQL, query processing, and database engines
• Experience with concurrency control, data replication, or distributed systems

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience in PostgreSQL internal development
• Familiarity with validation tools like Jepsen, Valgrind, Coverity, pprof
