💼 About This Role

You'll lead a team of mechanical engineers designing avionics mechanical systems for Starship. You'll drive rapid development of highly producible designs for harsh launch vehicle environments. This role directly enables human spaceflight to Mars.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead avionics engineers through design, integration, test, and launch activities
• Drive conceptual design, architecture trades, and first order sizing
• Optimize development speed, mass, and cost of avionics hardware
• Provide hands-on support of production issues and drive improvements

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or math
• 5+ years of professional experience with mechanical design of components or assemblies
• 3+ years of experience as leader with direct reports

✨ Nice to Have

• Creative problem solver with ability to assess risk without all data
• Proficient in FEA and CAD
• Strong understanding of GD&T
