💼 About This Role

You'll build industry-leading conversational AI models for Decagon's enterprise support platform. You'll own multi-quarter initiatives that push agent reliability, capability, and efficiency forward. You'll work end-to-end from idea to production.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead research to improve conversational AI capabilities in production
• Build end-to-end models optimizing quality, efficiency, and user experience
• Collaborate with platform engineers to integrate new models
• Translate ambiguous research ideas into clear milestones

📋 Requirements

• 8+ years in AI/ML engineering or research
• Experience post-training and deploying LLMs in production
• Fluency in Python and modern ML tooling
• Track record of research to production impact

• Experience with conversational AI
• Background in training large language models
• Ability to define roadmaps and lead cross-functional execution
