💼 About This Role

You'll join a new Forward Deployed Engineering team at Maybern, building custom applications and decision-support tools for private-markets customers. Your work will span applied AI, quantitative modeling, and workflow automation to solve complex fund management challenges. You'll partner directly with customers to turn ambiguous requirements into working systems.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead forward-deployed engagements from discovery through deployment
• Design and build custom applications and decision-support tools
• Work across AI, ML, forecasting, and optimization systems
• Partner with customer stakeholders to refine requirements
• Create reusable abstractions and internal libraries from customer work

📋 Requirements

• 1-4 years of experience in software engineering, ML, or quantitative analytics
• Strong Python and SQL skills
• Proven ability to design and ship reliable systems
• Hands-on experience with machine learning or LLM workflows

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with evaluation frameworks or human-in-the-loop AI workflows
• Familiarity with symbolic systems or rules engines
• Prior forward-deployed or customer-embedded engineering experience
