💼 About This Role

You'll own the SMB subsystem for Rubrik's data backup platform, ensuring long-term stability and customer delight. You'll diagnose complex issues and collaborate across teams to ship new features. This role offers deep protocol-level work with SMB/CIFS and Active Directory integration in a distributed systems environment.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Own end-to-end SMB share management and Active Directory integration
• Develop dynamic SMB share provisioning with access control
• Ensure seamless SMB share lifecycle for backup/restore operations
• Troubleshoot SMB-related issues in complex customer environments

📋 Requirements

• BTech/MTech/PhD in Computer Science
• 3-6 years of software development on Linux
• Strong expertise in SMB/CIFS protocol and Samba server administration
• Proficient in Scala or Java with working knowledge of Python

• Active Directory/Kerberos experience
• Containerized service architecture (Docker)
• Large distributed systems design experience
