💼 About This Role

You'll build and maintain core features across the workflow engine, recipes, and assays on the Process Development team at Benchling, the AI platform for biotech R&D. Your work will directly impact how scientists manage complex manufacturing workflows and shape how AI tooling integrates into engineering culture. You'll collaborate with the AI Agents team to enable AI-assisted scientific work.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Build and maintain core features across the workflow engine, recipes, and assays
• Contribute to data layer modeling for workflow graph structures and task tracking
• Build products on top of the workflow orchestration engine
• Collaborate with the AI Agents team to expose workflow engine for AI-assisted science

📋 Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Full-stack experience with Python or similar backend and React or equivalent frontend
• Strong product sense and ability to iterate based on user feedback
• Willingness to engage with AI-assisted development tools as a primary mode of working
