You'll design, build, and operate launch pad fluid systems for Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy ground support equipment. Your work will directly enable efficient and reliable rocket launches at Vandenberg.

๐ŸŽฏ What You'll Do

  • Serve as responsible engineer for launch pad fluid systems including compressible, incompressible, and cryogenic systems
  • Direct skilled technicians during design, build, troubleshooting, and upgrades
  • Contribute to development and improvement of functional automation for fluid systems
  • Drive continuous improvement by interfacing with various teams across SpaceX

๐Ÿ“‹ Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace, chemical engineering, or related discipline
  • 1+ years professional experience with fluid, mechanical, or low voltage electrical systems
  • Ability to pass Air Force background check for Vandenberg Space Force Base
  • Ability to work extended hours and be flexible on shifts

โœจ Nice to Have

  • Experience at a rocket launch/test facility supporting launch campaigns
  • Experience with control systems for remote operations and instrumentation
  • Experience with CAD software like SOLIDWORKS or Siemens NX
