Description

You will serve as the primary editor for columns, features, and reviews across Artforum's monthly print magazine and website, commissioning and editing content from contributors while also producing original content regularly.

Requirements

• Four or more years of experience editing texts
• Some formal training in art history
• Some record of publications on contemporary art
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, and Zoom; willingness to learn WordPress
• Finely-honed editorial instincts and clear communication skills

Responsibilities

• Commission and edit short- and long-form content from staff and freelance contributors
• Contribute original content (columns, features, reviews) to print and web platforms
• Upload web columns to WordPress with images, captions, alt-text, and SEO best practices
• Cultivate and maintain a network of freelance writers
• Attend press previews, art openings, and events on behalf of the magazine
