💼 About This Role

You'll build and lead a top-tier accounting team to support Justworks becoming an SEC-compliant public company. You'll develop strong communication with the CFO and executive leadership to address critical accounting matters. This role reports to the CFO and oversees SEC readiness, SOX 404 compliance, and financial reporting.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Build out accounting team including Controller's Group, Financial Reporting, Tax, and Financial Systems
• Develop communication cadence with CFO and VP Finance on critical accounting matters
• Prepare executive accounting summaries and quarterly Audit Committee communications
• Implement formal control framework for SOX 404 compliance

📋 Requirements

• 15+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles
• CPA certification required
• Public company experience, including SEC reporting and SOX compliance
• Technical accounting expertise in US GAAP and SEC regulations

• Experience with IPO readiness or taking a company public
• Familiarity with SaaS or fintech industry accounting
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Workday Financials)
