You'll lead the infrastructure software engineering team responsible for Marqeta's Kubernetes-based compute platform, supporting payment transactions with ultra-high availability. You'll drive platform modernization, cost optimization, and operational excellence. This role offers Flex First remote work within the US.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of infrastructure software engineers
• Define technical roadmap for the Kubernetes compute platform
• Drive Kubernetes cost optimization and resource efficiency
• Ensure ultra-high availability and lead incident response

📋 Requirements

• 8+ years experience in infrastructure or platform engineering
• 5+ years people management experience
• Deep expertise with Kubernetes in production at scale
• Experience with AWS (EKS, EC2, VPC, IAM) and infrastructure-as-code
