Description

You will join a cross-functional engineering team building tools, APIs, and integrations for Remote's HR and Payroll products. Your work will involve designing and implementing scalable backend systems using Elixir, Phoenix, and Postgres, and you'll have the opportunity to shape the future of global employment technology.

Requirements

• Strong engineering fundamentals with track record of shipping production systems
• Experience designing or adopting agentic/automation workflows
• Ability to define specs, break down plans, and close the loop on quality
• Proficiency with Postgres (or similar) and CI/CD (GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins)
• Experience with Functional Programming languages (Elixir, Erlang, Scala, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Lead major team-scoped projects and participate in cross-team initiatives
• Provide technical feedback and suggest product improvements
• Maintain understanding of team's domain from product and engineering sides
• Conduct code reviews and contribute to shared codebase
• Mentor other engineers and participate in non-team activities
