Description

You will lead the design and evolution of real-time ads auction systems for Roku's CTV advertising, building low-latency distributed services that balance viewer experience, advertiser performance, and platform revenue. You'll own core auction capabilities, integrate with programmatic demand sources, and drive yield optimization through experimentation.

Requirements

• Experience building real-time distributed systems at scale
• Knowledge of online advertising, auctions, or marketplace systems
• Strong software engineering skills in a relevant language
• Experience with A/B testing and experimentation frameworks
• Ability to partner with product, data science, and research teams

Responsibilities

• Lead design and evolution of real-time ads auction systems for CTV advertising
• Enhance core auction capabilities: ad pod construction, bid evaluation, ranking, pricing, pacing, budget enforcement, frequency capping
• Build low-latency, highly reliable distributed services at massive scale
• Design auction logic balancing viewer experience, advertiser performance, publisher yield, and revenue
• Drive yield optimization through auction design, demand shaping, floor strategies, and pricing experiments
