Description

As an RF/Communication Systems Engineer at Astranis, you will architect and model satellite communication payloads, perform trade studies, lead R&D for new radio technologies, and collaborate with hardware, software, and antenna teams to build advanced radio systems for satellites serving governments and enterprises.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience
• Strong communication skills (oral and written)
• Strong fundamentals in signals/systems and digital communications
• Experience with test equipment (signal generator, analyzer, oscilloscope) and debugging

Responsibilities

• Own architectural trade studies and establish system/unit requirements via analysis/simulation
• Lead R&D for new radio features, technologies, and custom components
• Work with RF, antenna, digital hardware, FPGA, mechanical, and thermal design teams
• Design and test communications-related signal processing algorithms
• Assist in recruiting and interviewing new team members
