Description

As a Generator Technician at Pearce, you will service and repair commercial generators on cell phone towers, performing maintenance, diagnostics, and installations. This role is ideal for independent, self-starting individuals who are willing to travel and work in a fast-paced telecom environment.

Requirements

• Two or more years of generator maintenance experience preferred, minimum one year intense experience
• Thorough knowledge of generator installation, maintenance, and repair; knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components
• Basic knowledge of FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA regulations
• Ability to lift over 50 pounds, stoop, bend, kneel, squat, climb, and stand for long periods
• Willingness to drive long distances, work evenings, weekends, holidays, and be on call

Responsibilities

• Maintain, diagnose, and repair generators; install or replace components and systems
• Conduct performance checks and follow blueprints for installation or repair
• Install fuel and water lines, pumps, electrical wiring, and controls; test for proper operation
• Respond promptly to power/generator alarms and be on call 24/7 as needed
• Perform work with awareness of hazards and use safety equipment; attend safety meetings
