Description

You will work on challenging problems in designing and implementing the map system for Nuro's current and future robots. You'll research and develop state-of-the-art mapping and state estimation algorithms, build well-tested C++ software, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality mapping and localization solutions that power next-generation mobile robots.

Requirements

• 2+ years of industry software engineering experience
• Strong C/C++ programming skills
• Hands-on experience with mapping/localization algorithms for AV, drones, or similar
• Deep understanding of state estimation, probabilistic filtering, 3D geometry
• Experience with multiple sensors (lidar, camera, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Research, develop, and implement state-of-the-art mapping and state estimation algorithms
• Analyze accuracy and performance of mapping/state estimation algorithms using various data sources
• Build well-tested C++ software and deploy on robotic platforms and in simulation
• Deliver high-quality mapping and localization solutions for next-gen mobile robots
• Collaborate with autonomy, infrastructure, and systems teams on map needs and requirements
