Description

As a Senior Software Engineer on the AI Ecosystem team at Brex, you will own the technical direction for integrating Brex's financial platform with third-party AI assistants like OpenAI and Claude. You'll design secure, auditable patterns for exposing data and actions, and build production-grade integrations that are relied upon by sophisticated customers. This is a product-minded infrastructure role where success is measured by real usage and trust.

Requirements

• Experience building and owning production software integrating with third-party platforms
• Demonstrated technical ownership for user-facing products with external customers
• Deep experience with identity, authentication, permissions, and secure data access across boundaries
• Proven ability to ship and operate reliable integrations with external APIs
• Strong product judgment, written communication, and end-to-end ownership

Responsibilities

• Own Brex's MCP Apps for OpenAI, Claude, and other embedders, including roadmap decisions
• Define technical, UX, and reliability standards for Brex within external AI assistant ecosystems
• Design and maintain secure, auditable integration patterns for permissions and data access
• Build and operate production-grade integrations resilient to evolving platforms and constraints
• Partner cross-functionally with Security, Platform, Sales, Enablement, and internal agent teams
