💼 About This Role

You'll develop the future platform of communications on Twilio's SMS Engineering team. You'll build and optimize a complex distributed platform in Java, focusing on availability, throughput, latency, and data integrity. Twilio's remote-first culture means you'll work from Estonia while collaborating globally.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design, develop, test, and deploy features with a distributed team.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in your team's domain.
• Manage work using Github, Jira, and build/deploy systems.

📋 Requirements

• Experience with Java frameworks like Dropwizard, Spring, or Hibernate.
• Experience with cloud services (AWS preferred, Google, Azure etc.).
• Strong Computer Science fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
• Readiness to participate in the on-call rotation.

• Experience with microservice architecture.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
