Description

You will lead a team of engineers on the Production Eng team at Stripe, building systems that support Stripe's API. You'll be responsible for distilling complexity across infrastructure problems, ensuring reliability, latency, and efficiency of Stripe's API, and steering the future of Stripe's APIs and developer experiences.

Requirements

• 10+ years technical experience or 7+ years in infrastructure/platform engineering
• 5+ years in a strategic technical leadership role
• Experience leading teams on API design, abstractions, frameworks, or client libraries
• Hands-on experience building infrastructure and products for internal/external customers
• Proficient in at least one of Java, Ruby, Python, Go

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers, providing mentorship and guidance.
• Partner with Engineering Managers to create roadmaps and deliver milestones.
• Understand user needs to prioritize engineering work and deliver high quality solutions.
• Drive execution of projects from planning to delivery with high standards.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership in architecture, design, and incident response.
