💼 About This Role

You'll design, manage, and optimize Kubernetes clusters and related infrastructure at SpaceX, supporting critical business functions and the mission of enabling life on Mars. You'll work closely with engineering teams to build highly resilient, scalable systems that power demanding projects. This role offers the chance to shape the infrastructure for humanity's multi-planetary future.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Install, manage, scale, and optimize Kubernetes and RKE clusters using Ansible and Terraform
• Gather requirements and deploy software platforms running in Kubernetes for engineering teams
• Build highly resilient, high-performance, scalable, and robust systems
• Drive scripting, self-service, and automation to reduce administrative overhead and TOIL

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in CS or STEM with 5+ years systems engineering OR 7+ years without degree
• Deploying and supporting Linux servers in physical/virtualized environments via automation
• Linux shell and configuring/extending Linux instances (kernel modules, cgroups, iptables)
• Automation frameworks (Ansible, Terraform) for provisioning and managing Kubernetes

✨ Nice to Have

• Expertise in repeatable, reliable, scalable systems architectures with high availability and fault tolerance
• Experience with CI/CD and GitOps tools (ArgoCD, Jenkins) and infrastructure as code
• Knowledge of Kubernetes internals including CNI, CRI, CSI plugins, service mesh, and software-defined storage
