💼 About This Role

You'll guide technical aspects of backend and ML development for Waymo's Compliance and Readiness team, ensuring safe rider experiences. You'll build data pipelines and AI solutions using Google Cloud and state-of-the-art ML. You'll work cross-functionally with Operations to detect and prevent events like lost items.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Guide technical aspects of development including design, implementation, and testing
• Build ML data pipelines to evaluate model precision and recall
• Apply multimedia ML techniques like image recognition and video analysis
• Design and productionize AI solutions using Google Cloud and ML approaches

📋 Requirements

• BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• 6+ years experience with backend technologies (e.g., C++, Spanner)
• Set technical direction for an engineering team in the past
• Experience in Python and/or C++

✨ Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Gemini APIs or other ML multimedia APIs
• Familiarity with Google infrastructure (Spanner, Flume, Borg, etc.)
• Experience in the Self-Driving Car industry
