Description

You will lead the instructional design of BrainPOP content for multilingual learners, ensuring it is research-based and culturally responsive. Collaborate with product teams to align UX with emerging bilingual needs, act as an internal authority on ELD standards, and develop quality checklists for content creators.

Requirements

• Master's degree in TESOL, multilingual education, or related field preferred
• 5+ years experience in K-8 instructional design and curriculum development for MLs in tech-based product
• Deep understanding of WIDA framework and state ELD standards (CA, TX, AZ)
• Basic proficiency with Google Workspace; experience with digital authoring tools preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to manage multiple work streams

Responsibilities

• Lead design of instructional frameworks supporting English language acquisition K-8
• Develop model activities with research-based scaffolding (graphic organizers, sentence frames, leveled vocabulary)
• Partner with product and engineering to align UX with emerging bilingual student needs
• Act as internal authority on ELD standards (WIDA, state-specific), creating alignment documentation
• Develop rubrics and quality checklists for ML-first content creation and AI models
