💼 About This Role

You'll drive the technical direction of LangSmith, our AI observability and evaluation platform. You'll build across the full stack, from backend services to frontend product surfaces, and shape engineering standards for the team. This role offers an opportunity to define what great AI observability looks like at production scale.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead architectural decisions across Go, Python, and TypeScript stack
• Build end-to-end features from backend services to frontend experiences
• Drive tracing, monitoring, and evaluation workflows at scale
• Set engineering standards and mentor engineers across the team

📋 Requirements

• 10+ years of backend or fullstack engineering experience
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or Go, plus TypeScript and React
• Experience making architectural decisions for data systems and APIs
• Track record of mentoring engineers and raising team technical quality

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with Postgres, Redis, ClickHouse
• Familiarity with observability tooling or AI/LLM infrastructure
