Description

You will ensure 99.99% uptime for production databases, support developers with query optimization and table design, and help build a data warehouse for business intelligence. Collaborate with global operations and mentor junior team members.

Requirements

• 2+ years database experience on Linux systems (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Cassandra preferred; Oracle or MSSQL also considered)
• Experience with disaster recovery, high availability, backup/recovery, and replication
• Understanding of indexes, index management, and statistics
• Experience in scripting for automation (e.g., shell, Python)
• Basic knowledge of BI concepts (cubes, ETL) and MS BI tools is a plus

Responsibilities

• Ensure 99.99% uptime through production support
• Install, configure, maintain, and tune PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MSSQL databases on Linux
• Troubleshoot and resolve database performance and availability issues
• Support developers with query patterns, table design, and performance recommendations
• Design and build a data warehouse from existing data sources
