Description

As a software engineer on the Sharding Engineering Team at Neo4j, you'll design and implement features across the database stack, from Cypher language implementation to cluster networking. You'll work on distributed query execution and database sharding for large-scale data volumes, collaborating with a fun team in a fast-paced environment that values quality and correctness.

Requirements

• Experience developing production level software
• Knowledge of Java, Scala, or similar languages
• Ability to work independently in a flexible organization
• Ability to communicate and collaborate on complex topics

Responsibilities

• Design and implement features in different parts of the database stack
• Track down and fix bugs, address downstream test failures
• Document features and participate in cross-team design meetings
• Study the latest in database research and experiment with new ideas
• Collaborate through pair programming, design meetings, and retrospectives
