💼 About This Role

You'll prototype mechanisms and design electro-mechanical systems for desktop 3D printers at a company used by Apple, Google, and NASA. Your work will bring designs from prototype to mass production, pushing the capabilities of 3D printing. You'll collaborate with global sourcing and manufacturing teams to engineer the most amazing desktop 3D printer on the market.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Prototype new mechanisms, test materials, and research 3D printing challenges
• Analyze, test, validate and iterate on electro-mechanical systems
• Create detailed designs in CAD and well-specified, accurate drawings
• Collaborate with Global Sourcing and Manufacturing Teams to bring designs from prototype to mass production

📋 Requirements

• Experience with 3D CAD (Solidworks/Onshape) for component design and assemblies
• Familiarity with manufacturing techniques including injection molding and sheet metal fabrication
• Ability to prototype your own designs in a well-equipped shop
• Experience with the full product development cycle
