Description

In this role, you will self-perform and direct project teams in the planning and design of infrastructure projects, playing a key role in managing client relationships. You will work on a broad range of projects for municipal, public, and private clients, and contribute to strategic growth initiatives of our Illinois Civil group.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• 5+ years of civil transportation design experience, including geometrics, traffic highway, and drainage design using MicroStation and Geopak
• Licensed Project Engineer (P.E) in the state of Illinois
• Experience working with Illinois DOT / Federal Aid Local Agency and well-versed in applicable codes and standards
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Complete project design plans and work closely with Project Managers, integrating data and performing fundamental analysis of project elements
• Work on a broad range of projects for municipal, public, and private clients
• Establish project goals and milestones, define responsibilities, coordinate resources, and monitor project progress
• Ensure the development of high-quality engineering documents, including adhering to all internal procedures for quality control, documentation, and project tracking
• Champion relationships with key clients throughout Illinois
• Contribute to other project work as a technical specialist or advisor, as needed
• Represent Benesch at industry events and have active involvement in professional organizations
