💼 About This Role

You'll join Vaxcyte's Research team to purify diverse vaccine antigens using a broad palette of chromatographic tools. You'll design and execute chromatography trains to reduce impurities and ensure product quality. This role offers the chance to contribute to high-impact vaccine innovation against bacterial diseases.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Execute AKTA FPLC chromatography techniques (IMAC, IEX, HIC, SEC, CHT/HA).
• Design chromatography trains to reduce host cell protein, endotoxin, and aggregates.
• Keep accurate records in an electronic laboratory notebook.
• Present experimental data and contribute to team discussions.

📋 Requirements

• BS in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or relevant science with 2+ years industry experience or MS with 1+ year.
• Experience with diverse protein targets including bacterial and eukaryotic recombinant proteins.
• Demonstrated success with alternative capture/polishing methods and orthogonal cleaning strategies.
• Hands-on experience with multiple chromatographic modalities beyond Protein A workflows.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with cell-free protein synthesis system.
• Familiarity with automation or high throughput workflows (96-well plates) and UNICORN/AKTA software DoE integrations.
• Experience in process development.
