💼 About This Role
You'll design, build, and test flight-critical mechanical systems for autonomous VTOL cargo aircraft. You'll drive subsystem design from architecture through integration, enabling aircraft testing and flight.
🎯 What You'll Do
- Design and develop vehicle subsystems from architecture through integration
- Perform structural and thermal analysis using FEA and first principles
- Manage interfaces between subsystems and define requirements
- Select and manage suppliers for budget, schedule, and specification
📋 Requirements
- MS in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline
- 7+ years of experience in vehicle subsystem design
- Proficiency with SolidWorks or similar CAD software
- Experience with complex mechanical, structural, and thermal management system design
✨ Nice to Have
- Experience with ASME Y14.5 GD&T
- Experience with lift + cruise or tilt-rotor EVTOL platforms
- Proficiency with FEMAP, NX Nastran, Matlab, Mathcad, Labview, or Python
