💼 About This Role
You'll lead the end-to-end design of specialized test hardware for aircraft structural integrity and propulsion components at Archer. You'll collaborate closely with controls and electrical teams to push boundaries by designing mechanical test equipment from concept to functional hardware. This role offers the chance to drive innovative solutions from a blank sheet of paper.
🎯 What You'll Do
- Lead development of aircraft subsystem test equipment from concept to acceptance
- Collaborate cross-functionally to define equipment architecture and design
- Execute engineering analyses including DFMEA and tolerance stacks
- Manage project scope, budgets, and timelines as technical point of contact
📋 Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Aerospace Engineering
- 7+ years of progressive experience in specialized test equipment or complex machine design
- Expert-level proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks, CATIA, or NX) and GD&T
- Full lifecycle commissioning experience including debugging and DAQ system integration

- Electric powertrain or component-level test equipment experience
- NX CAD within Teamcenter environment
- Full-scale project execution from concept to site acceptance
