Description

You will lead safety engineering for advanced aircraft systems, performing hazard analyses and ensuring compliance with military standards to deliver cutting-edge defense technology.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years experience as a System Safety Engineer or equivalent
• B.S. in Mechanical, Aerospace, Systems Engineering or equivalent
• Experience with safety-critical hardware/software systems in defense or aerospace
• Extensive knowledge of MIL-STD-882E
• Experience setting up a System Safety Engineering framework

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement System Safety program plans aligned with MIL-STD-882E
• Conduct complex safety analyses including FHA, Fault Tree, SCFTA, and SSA at system and sub-system level
• Develop safety requirements and collaborate with design teams
• Identify and document hazards risks, manage hazard tracking databases
• Support Development Milestone Reviews as System Safety Lead
