💼 About This Role

You'll own well-defined workstreams in the lab, designing and running experiments for fusion power plant materials testing. You'll partner with senior engineers to translate results into design changes. This is an onsite role at our Everett, WA office.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Plan and run materials test campaigns on materials
• Lead failure investigations on structural and polymer-based insulation systems
• Develop and follow lab procedures and checklists for test areas
• Provide materials input to designs in your domain

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's in Materials Science, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of experience with failure analysis of materials or components including electrical insulation systems
• Experience with materials characterization tools like optical/SEM microscopy, mechanical testing, dielectric testing, polymer characterization (FTIR, DSC, TGA)

• Experience with custom or nonstandard lab setups
• Fixture assembly and basic design
• Instrumentation and test scripting
