Description

In this role, you will conduct and direct the mechanical design and analysis of solid rocket motor components, providing technical leadership and owning critical systems from concept through production. You'll perform CAD design, finite element analysis, and support prototyping and testing onsite.

Requirements

• 8+ years experience in mechanical design and analysis
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering
• Experience with CAD and FEA software
• Understanding of hardware manufacturability and GD&T
• Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to component-level design engineers
• Perform CAD design of mechanical components
• Perform finite element analysis of structural and thermal systems
• Generate, review, and release engineering drawings
• Support prototyping, manufacturing, and test operations onsite
