Description

As a Mapping Analyst at Motional, you will support the Map Operations team by collecting infrastructure data, analyzing road features, and annotating high-definition maps for autonomous vehicles. You will work with engineering and product teams to guide feature development and ensure map quality through validation and testing.

Requirements

• Background in mapping software, GIS, AutoCAD, or spatial design software
• Bachelor's degree in geography, science, or engineering preferred
• 2-5 years of experience preferred, minimally 6 months
• Knowledge of road traffic rules and regulations
• Valid driver's license and at least 6 months of driving experience

Responsibilities

• Annotate/digitize high-definition maps for autonomous driving using in-house software
• Perform in-depth analysis of road infrastructure using multiple data sources
• Conduct validation tests and peer reviews to ensure map quality
• Investigate and fix map-related issues from vehicle operations feedback
• Collaborate with mapping software and engineering teams to improve tools and features
