Description

You will serve as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers, managing medical billing inquiries via live chat, phone, and email. This part-time role (20 hours/week, 10AM-3PM ET, Mon-Thu) focuses on ensuring patients have a pleasant billing experience while you handle calls, process payments, and follow up on collections.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years customer service via phone or call center
  • 1-2 years medical billing or insurance experience
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and electronic medical records (Athena, eClinicalWorks, Epic, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated with attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Manage 60-80 patient calls daily regarding medical bills
  • Handle patient questions via inbound chats, phone calls, and outbound campaigns
  • Run escalations to healthcare providers
  • Lead payment posting and follow up on defaulted payments
  • Meet team metrics for satisfaction and collections
