Description

You will provide speech therapy services to adult and geriatric patients in senior living communities in Arlington and Alexandria, VA. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will perform evaluations, develop treatment plans, and educate patients and families to help them remain at home.

Requirements

• Current Speech Language Pathologist license in VA
• Certificate of clinical competence in speech from ASHA or equivalent educational requirements
• Solid computer skills; prior EMR experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Make home visits in designated territories
• Perform evaluations for speech, language, communication, or swallowing difficulties
• Develop and revise treatment plans based on evaluations and physician orders
• Educate patients and families on rehabilitative care
• Document observations and interventions using a touch pad tablet
