You'll lead a team that designs automated weather monitoring systems enabling Zipline's drone delivery fleet to make real-time go/no-go decisions. Your work will directly impact flight safety and customer experience by defining flyable weather conditions and validating them through simulation. 🎯 What You'll Do

• Design automated weather monitoring systems for real-time go/no-go decisions
• Define flyable weather requirements to achieve business performance goals
• Lead simulation and validation strategies for weather-related risk decisions
• Communicate system uptime expectations with customer and operations teams
• Drive development of ground- and air-based sensing for scalable risk posture

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years of industry experience
• Advanced proficiency in scientific Python (Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Matplotlib, XArray, NETCDF)
• Familiarity with geospatial and meteorological datasets and tools
• Mastery of machine learning and statistical techniques

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with Rust, C++, Kubernetes, AWS
• Experience with Kafka or streaming data systems
• Knowledge of aviation weather and regulation
