💼 About This Role

You'll shape the architectural direction of Toast's Care Onboarding platforms, delivering high-impact solutions that enable how Toast supports restaurant customers at every stage. You'll partner with technical and non-technical stakeholders to define and execute on the highest-leverage opportunities. This role blends hands-on coding, technical design leadership, and cross-team influence across a next-decade technical foundation.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Own technical direction for Care Onboarding platforms
• Lead design and delivery of large-scope initiatives
• Identify and resolve systemic technical challenges
• Set high engineering quality through code and mentorship
• Partner with product and operations leadership on technical plans

📋 Requirements

• 8+ years delivering complex backend systems at scale
• Mastery of Java or Kotlin
• Deep proficiency in API lifecycle management
• Strong understanding of query languages and data modeling

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience building with LLMs in production
• Familiarity with Workato or similar iPaaS
• Prior work with Salesforce or other CRM platforms
