💼 About This Role

You'll join a newly formed Telemetry team to design and operate mission-critical streaming data pipelines processing petabytes of geospatial data. Your work will directly improve Mapbox's navigation, maps, and search products used by millions globally. You'll have the opportunity to shape strategic initiatives across consumer, automotive, and logistics domains.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Collaborate to identify and scope well-defined tasks.
• Design systems that scale with rapid customer growth.
• Promote operational excellence through testing, monitoring, and on-call.
• Reduce technical debt and invest in team health.

📋 Requirements

• 8+ years building scalable, high-volume, low-latency backend services.
• 3+ years building streaming pipelines handling petabytes of data.
• Proficiency in Python, NodeJS, TypeScript, Rust, C++, and AWS (CDK, ECS, Fargate, Step Functions, Lambda, S3).
• Knowledge of global data security standards.
