💼 About This Role

You'll operate across the full stack to design and implement scalable backend services and frontend components for AI-assisted shopping and site personalization at Thrive Market. You'll have a foundational impact on how ML turbocharges our member experience, working closely with Product, Design, and Data. If you're energized by ambiguity and want your architectural decisions to actually matter, this is the role.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and implement scalable backend services and frontend components for AI-assisted shopping and personalization.
• Build and maintain frontend features in React and Next.js that are fast, accessible, and polished.
• Work comfortably in PHP/Magento codebase while actively contributing to its modernization.
• Decompose legacy monolithic systems into horizontally scalable service oriented architectures.

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in full-stack development.
• Strong proficiency in backend systems and languages such as Python, Java, PHP or similar.
• Proficiency with React.js, TypeScript, and Next.js; understanding of SSR, ISR, SSG, and CSR tradeoffs.
• Experience building and maintaining REST and RPC APIs and services at scale.

✨ Nice to Have

• Familiarity with ML operations and infrastructure.
• E-commerce experience, especially with Magento or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with Kafka or similar event based messaging systems.
