💼 About This Role

You'll lead identity platform engineering at Strava, owning the technical roadmap for authentication, authorization, and account security serving over 180 million athletes. You'll balance hands-on coding with technical leadership in a hybrid role based in San Francisco.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Own technical roadmap for identity platform including sign-up, login, and MFA
• Design and scale unified identity foundation supporting portfolio of apps
• Architect and build secure authorization and access control systems
• Collaborate with Product, Security, Trust & Safety, and Legal

📋 Requirements

• 10+ years building identity systems at scale
• Deep experience with authentication protocols (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, WebAuthn)
• Track record leading teams through complex identity challenges

• Experience with RBAC/ABAC models
• Knowledge of passkeys and biometric authentication
