Description

You will define vehicle, system, and subsystem requirements for transit buses, lead requirements management, conduct trade studies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet safety, regulatory, and performance goals. This role involves hands-on systems engineering at GILLIG's Colorado Technical Center.

Requirements

• Senior-level systems engineering experience in product development
• Experience with requirements management tools such as Jama, DOORS, or TeamCenter/Polarion
• Knowledge of INCOSE principles and systems engineering processes
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex technical challenges
• Hands-on experience with vehicle systems integration

Responsibilities

• Define vehicle, system, and subsystem requirements to meet functional, safety, and performance goals
• Break down program objectives into actionable engineering requirements and evaluate tradeoffs
• Lead program engineering requirement management from start to finish
• Conduct trade studies, lead design reviews, and perform technical assessments
• Lead DFMEA and risk assessments, and support validation efforts
