You'll simulate the thermodynamic cycle of a novel turboelectric adaptive jet engine, owning the modeling of engine operational envelope and performance. You'll collaborate across propulsion, aircraft, and test teams to produce high-fidelity predictions, with direct impact on engine configuration. 🎯 What You'll Do

  • Utilize 1D thermodynamic cycle models (NPSS, PyCycle, GasTurb) for engine performance prediction
  • Improve simulation accuracy through anchoring to test data
  • Develop tool automation to enhance functionality and user interface
  • Collaborate on engine parameter sensitivity analysis and aircraft implications

📋 Requirements

  • 5+ years hands-on experience with fluidic and propulsion systems
  • Foundational knowledge of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and compressible flow
  • Understanding of fluid systems and instrumentation hardware
  • Experience with data acquisition and control systems
