You'll join the Codex team building state-of-the-art AI systems for code generation and agentic reasoning. Your work will directly impact products like ChatGPT and the API, helping millions write better code. You'll collaborate with world-class researchers to push the frontier of code generation and deploy capabilities in next-generation agentic coding tools.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design experiments to improve code generation and reasoning in Codex models.
• Develop research insights into model training, alignment, and evaluation.
• Hunt down inefficiencies across the Codex system stack and land performance improvements.
• Build tooling to measure, profile, and optimize system performance at scale.

📋 Requirements

• Strong software engineering skills with rapid prototyping experience.
• Experience operating across ML systems and cloud infrastructure.
• Holistic thinking about performance, balancing speed, cost, and UX.
• Creativity and rigor in open-ended research and iterative environments.
