You'll set the visual benchmark for environment art on a AAA BioShock title, collaborating across Art, Narrative, and Design to craft high-fidelity concepts that support deep systems architecture. Your work will bridge artistic vision and technical constraints, ensuring breathtaking aesthetics that bring the game world to life.
π― What You'll Do
- Deliver high-fidelity environment concept art as definitive reference for the team.
- Proactively resolve complex visual or pipeline bottlenecks before production impact.
- Bridge Art, Narrative, and Design to align concepts with gameplay and systems.
- Coach Senior and Mid-level artists, fostering craftsmanship and constructive feedback.
π Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in game development.
- Shipped at least one full-cycle AAA title as a concept artist.
- Superior ability to highlight gameplay possibilities in environment concepts.
- Fluent in 2D editing/illustration packages such as Photoshop.
β¨ Nice to Have
- Fluent in 3D modeling packages such as Maya or 3ds Max.
- Degree in Fine Art or related experience.
- Stylistically versatile across multiple eras and commercial art.
