Description

You will own the full design lifecycle of space-grade satellite hardware, from conceptual design through high-volume production and on-orbit operation. You'll solve complex structural, thermal, and electromechanical problems in cross-functional teams to help expand the Starlink constellation and democratize internet access globally.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
• Experience with CAD and FEA software packages
• 1+ years of professional experience (including internships) with mechanical/electromechanical design, analysis, testing, and/or manufacturing
• Master’s degree in engineering or related discipline preferred
• 3+ years of professional experience in mechanical design and analysis preferred

Responsibilities

• Own hardware from conceptual design through high volume production and on-orbit operation
• Develop design criteria, collaborate on requirements, and drive system-level optimization
• Rapidly iterate on designs and analysis to inform high-level system trades and product direction
• Drive holistic DFM focusing on piece part and process count reductions and error proofing
• Perform environmental and performance testing to validate analysis and demonstrate compliance
