Description
As a Simulation Software Engineer on the Starlink GNC team, you will develop and maintain in-house vehicle dynamics simulators, Monte Carlo simulation infrastructure, and HITL simulations. You'll work across engineering groups to build high-fidelity simulations that enable cutting-edge software and hardware development for the Starlink constellation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in CS, engineering, math, or STEM + 1+ years software dev experience, or 3+ years professional dev experience
- 2+ years development experience in C/C++
- Strong proficiency in C++, Python; front-end skills (e.g., JS) preferred
- Thorough knowledge of physics and math
- Strong debugging, performance optimization, and unit testing skills
Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve in-house simulator for Starlink, scaling performance and capability with the constellation
- Maintain and improve GNC Monte Carlo simulation infrastructure for Starlink
- Work with users to develop new simulation features, models, and improve user experience
- Improve simulation reliability and performance via continuous integration and profiling
